Hamline University Programming Board (HUPB)
Organization Description:
Hamline University Programming Board (HUPB) is an event planning organization run by students through the Office of Student Activities. This group of students runs the typical Welcome Week events, dances, and concerts; however they also plan events anywhere from Harry Potter Theme Night, to Tie Blanket Making, to bringing students to a musical, and anything in between. HUPB's goal is to make sure that students have an array of options for their free time, through community, collaboration, and creativity.
Positions:
Volunteer (Sep 2013-May 2014, Sep 2016-May 2017): worked in a team to follow instructions for event operations.
Weekends Event Programmer (Aug 2014 - May 2015): Planned 10 campus-wide weekend events with an $18,000 budget
Development and Outreach Coordinator (Aug 2015 - May 2016): student managed a 9-member board, facilitated weekly meetings, coordinated training and professional development sessions, recruited volunteers, and oversaw a $180,000 budget
